The Atelier
A small room behind the door. You found it by clicking the logo more times than is reasonable — which means we should probably say hello.
I'm Daniel. AJA Digital is mostly me, writing software for the things I keep coming back to: games, movement, and music. A few apps are out there; a few more are on the way. Nothing here is trying to be a unicorn — these are small, useful objects, made carefully.
Three typefaces I love this month
- Fraunces — soft, wonky, full of personality. The headlines here.
- Times New Roman — older than I am and still the most readable serif on the web.
- Berkeley Mono — for code that you want to enjoy reading.
What I'm reading
The Mezzanine by Nicholson Baker. A whole novel about an escalator ride, with footnotes about shoelaces. Recommended.
